so what

An urban platform for participatory design, research, and civic innovation.

Green Growth Generation (GGG) is a non-profit organisation and an urban platform working at the intersection of participatory design, applied research, and civic innovation.

We operate at city and neighbourhood level, collaborating with local communities, public institutions, universities, and civil society organisations to support place-based processes of sustainable urban development and just transitions.

Our work is grounded in real urban contexts and focuses on how change happens in practice — through governance arrangements, participation, and collective learning.

Our story.

Green Growth Generation was launched in October 2021, with the ambition of building an urban platform capable of connecting participatory practice, applied research, and civic innovation in real city contexts.

Born from a shared conviction — that urban transitions are social and institutional processes before they are technical ones — GGG has grown
from an initial network of practitioners and researchers into an active organisation working across Turin, Italy, and the European urban landscape.

Since 2023, our operational base in Turin has become the core of our work: a place where projects are designed, communities are engaged,
and knowledge is produced and shared.

methodology & knowledge

Our practice.

Our work is structured around three interconnected areas, reflecting methods and approaches rather than thematic sectors.

Participatory Processes
& Civic Innovation

Climate Change, Climate Justice & Net-Zero Transitions

Knowledge Sharing
& Public Learning

We design and facilitate participatory and neighbourhood-based processes, supporting communities and local actors in shaping shared visions, priorities, and collective actions.

Our work includes co-design and co-creation processes, facilitation of multi-stakeholder dialogues, and activation of civic networks, with a strong focus on governance, inclusion, and long-term engagement.

We work on urban climate transitions, addressing climate change as a social, institutional, and political process.

Our activities focus on climate justice, just transitions, and pathways to net-zero, with particular attention to equity, participation,
and governance at city level, connecting climate policies with lived urban realities.

A core part of our work is making knowledge accessible and actionable.

We design public events, learning formats, and dissemination activities that translate project-based experience and research insights into shared understanding, supporting capacity building and informed public debate across cities and communities.
