SDGs Goals
SDG17 “Partnerships for the goals”
📢 SDG 17 is strictly connected to something we strongly believe: PARTNERSHIPS!
👊🏽 To reach the goals fixed by the UN, everyone needs to take action…private and public sectors have to work hand-by-hand and even more they must help countries that are more in need.
The main goal of SDG 17 is to increase international cooperation and strengthen global partnerships at the governmental level by:
🟡 Strengthen domestic resource mobilization
🟢 Mobilize additional financial resources from multiple sources
🔵 Attain long-term debt sustainability through coordinated policies aimed at fostering debt financing.

SDG9 “Industry, innovation and infrastructure”
📢 Quiz Recap 📢
What are crucial factors of economic growth and development? Investments in infrastructure and innovation!
Technological progress, sustainable industries and investments in scientific research and innovation are all important ways to facilitate sustainable development.
As we always do, we want to share with you some actions you can take to play a role in this journey:
- Create a hotspot map mapping free WiFi access and spreading awareness through social media, flyers or announcements
- Does your company invest in clean and resilient infrastructure? Have you ever asked yourself that question?
- Organize or participate in a Think Tank contest to foster your (and your colleagues) entrepreneurial spirit.
Innovation and progress never sleep!

SDG8 “Decent work and economic growth”
📢 Our journey through the SDGs is still going on and today we will recap what we discussed on the last quiz: SDG 8!
👉🏽 Economy is the fuel for countries’ growth but it has to respect population and environment needs. That is why we talk about “Sustainable Economic Growth”. For being sustainable, “it must be accompanied by eco-efficiency improvements, climate action and resilient measures, alongside active labour market and social inclusion policies, in order to ensure that the transition to a climate neutral economy is just and inclusive”. *Eurostat
Work is also important for the personal fulfillment of individuals because it gives people money for food, medicine, housing and other things that support health and also a greater sense of security and well-being.
Last but (absolutely) not least, there are human rights related to work and economic growth, for example:
🟢Right to work and to just and favorable conditions of work
🔵Ban on slavery, forced labour, and trafficking of persons
🟡Equal rights of women in relation to employment
🟣Ban of child labour
🟠Equal labour rights of migrant workers
Ask yourself what could be your impact and share with us your ideas!!!

- Design cities that protect the needs of both young and older people
- Put resilience thinking at the heart of city planning
- Pay attention to what vulnerable population groups need

📢 Quiz Recap 📢
🔜 Let’s move on with our journey through the SDGs…Today’s recap is dedicated to SDG14: Life Below water. The aim of this SDG is “conserve and sustainably use the oceans, sea and marine resources for sustainable development”.
💡 We discovered three important words last week related to this topic (scroll down our feed to discover them)!
😱 Our ocean is the Planet’s largest ecosystem and we are compromising it due to:
- Plastic pollution (+17 million metric tons of plastic entered the ocean in 2021)
- Overfishing
- Acidification
- Eutrophication
- Ocean Warming
🤔 Are there actions we could take TODAY? You know what the answer is 😎…and if you have any doubts just surf the “globalgoal.org” website and find ideas for your next action!

SDG7 “Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all”
Closely connected to the last SDG we discussed, here we are with the new topic: SDG7 “Affordable and clean energy”
💡 Energy is the fuel of the world but are we using it in the best way? Shall we improve?
There is always room for improvement!!!
The lack of access to energy hinders economic and human development. This is the main reason why we need to improve energy usage and give more space to renewables. Nowadays, renewables are cheaper and reliable. Just to give an example, 80 minutes of sunlight can power Earth for one year!*
*TheWorldCounts
📋 What can we do in our small way?
- Switch off your appliances at the socket
- Buy rechargeable electronics
- Use solar energy sources
- Don’t use multiple devices at the same time
Last but not least: Stay informed! 📢

SDG6 “Clean water and sanitation for all”
One more…Sustainable Development Goal!
🔜 Here we are with the recap related to SDG6 “Clean water and sanitation”.
Population growth, urbanization and increasing water needs make water’s demand exponentially increase. If we look at this phenomenon globally, billions of people will lack access to this basic service in 2030 unless progress quadruples.
🚰 Access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene are some of the most important goals fixed in the Agenda 2030. How to ensure these basic needs?
- Reducing pollution, Increasing recycling and safe reuse globally
- Eliminating dumping and minimizing release of hazardous chemicals and materials
- Halving the proportion of untreated wastewater
💪🏽 “Act locally, impact globally”…as we always say “people can have a huge impact even with small actions” 💪🏽

SDG1 “End poverty in all its forms everywhere” & SDG10 “Reduce inequality within and among countries”
🧐 Let’s discover 2 over 17 SDGs 🧐
Here we are:
- SDG1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere
- SDG10: reduce inequality within and among countries
🔴 Why are they strictly connected? 🔴
Poverty could be considered an inequality and together with others can threaten long- term social and economic development, harm poverty reduction and destroy people’s sense of fulfillment and self-worth. This, in turn, can breed crime, disease and environmental degradation.
💬 Some numbers…
- People who make less than $1.90 are considered to be in “extreme poverty
- South Sudan has the highest poverty rates (82.30%) (in 2022)
- Iceland stands at the top of countries with the lowest poverty rates with a poverty rate of 4.9%
- 281 Million international migrants (135 million women/146 million men)
- Mainly from five countries: Syrian Arab Republic (6.8 million), Venezuela (5.6 million), Ukraine (5.4 million), Afghanistan (2.8 million) South Sudan (2.4 million)
💬 Take notes: 17 October”International Day for the Eradication of Poverty” – 18 December “International Migrants Day” – 20 December “International Human Solidarity Day”
👨🏿🤝👨🏻 Let’s stand up together! 👩🏼🤝👩🏾
