Zero in Condotta: Informative Actions Among Youth, Teachers, and Citizens Towards Reducing Environmental Impact
Green Growth Generation took part in the Zero in Condotta project by delivering a six-session capacity-building course on climate change, aimed at operators and volunteers from civil society organizations.
Cos'è Zero in Condotta?
Zero in Condotta is a project funded by AICS, conceived, written, and organized by Fondazione Punto Sud, CESVI, and other partner organizations. It aims to provide tools and new spaces for dialogue and discussion among actors in formal and informal education, as well as the third sector, to implement and promote actions to combat climate change.

Among the initiatives of the project, a capacity-building program was designed for Italian non-profit organizations, divided into three modules:
- Climate Change
- Specific Tools for Awareness, Advocacy, and Engagement
- Development and Management

Our Contribution to the Project
As part of this capacity-building course—promoted by Punto Sud—Green Growth Generation was responsible for delivering the first two modules, which took place online between November and December 2023.
This training program actively involved 19 Italian non-profit organizations, which had the opportunity to participate in six in-depth sessions on climate change, advocacy practices, community engagement, and campaigning.
In the first module, an analysis was conducted on participants’ prior knowledge of climate change, examining its causes and risks, as well as exploring mitigation and adaptation strategies. The second part of the course focused on techniques for mobilizing and engaging civil society, along with the necessary tools to design and implement effective and functional awareness campaigns.
Through active participation, attendees engaged in discussions on best practices already in place within their organizations, exchanging ideas and suggestions for launching sustainable strategies and actions capable of involving both stakeholders and local communities.
Objectives Achieved
During the course, participants achieved significant milestones that demonstrate the effectiveness of the training program.
First and foremost, participants gained a solid scientific understanding of climate change and mitigation processes, as demonstrated by the results of the final knowledge assessment test. The in-depth study of democratic policy dynamics led to the development of skills in campaigning, advocacy, and lobbying, providing participants with practical tools to positively influence political decision-making.

Additionally, attendees developed practical skills to engage stakeholders and decision-makers in awareness campaigns, effectively promoting sustainable and resilient environmental policies and ensuring the adoption and implementation of initiatives to combat climate change.
Capacity-building programs like this one—part of the Zero in Condotta project—represent an important step in equipping individuals and organizations with the resources and skills needed to become effective change agents in the fight against climate change. They provide an opportunity to develop new knowledge, enhance awareness of climate crisis-related issues, and facilitate the creation of exchange networks for sharing experiences and best practices.
Green Growth Generation leverages its expertise to support and guide organizations—both for-profit and non-profit—as well as administrations and communities, toward the increasingly essential goal of environmental and social sustainability.
